Murano
I got my new car! The Nissan Murano has the smoothest ride I have ever felt. I will miss my little Ford Focus; it was good to me while I had it (overall). But...Midnight Blue, with Cafe Latte Cloth...dual airconditioning...not to mention power locks, windows, and CRUISE CONTROL! I'm living the high life now.
"What's that, Grace?"
Grace has made a new friend in the neighborhood this summer. Her friend's favorite pastimes are: finding acorns, leaping through foliage, and cooling off on our back porch. : )
Officially: Amanda Nicole Lipscomb
I am officially (according to the U.S. government and the state of Texas) Mrs. Brian Lipscomb. Suprisingly everyone I encountered today was cheerful and extremely helpful. It must be a small town Texas thing!!! I felt incredibly productive today as I got the name change stuff taken care of (mostly), picked up our newly framed "Grace" art, and figured out the cutest way to package Christmas presents this year. Not to mention I made a little time for my new Harry Potter book. : ) I even found the perfect alphabet for my classroom. (If you are a teacher you know how great things like that feel.) My efficiency for today is a good feeling...I just pray it holds up! Fingers crossed for a productive weekend.
Back to "Normal"
Well...I guess we are finally back to what everyone is refering to as "normal." The wedding is over, the receptions have past, and now we're back to same old-same old. There is so much to do and it is all so exhausting to even think about. My parents had the chance to see our new house, but they had to go back to their "normal" this morning. Grace and I feel lonely already. Our plans...we finally have our marriage license so I can officially become Amanda Lipscomb, Grace needs to get set up at a veterinarian, and then...SCHOOL!!! I guess I better take advantage of this "normal" while I still can. : )
