SNOW!!!

Gabriel was ecstatic about the snow when he woke up, begging to make a snowman. First we greeted the Garbage Man with some brownies that Gabriel helped me make for him last night.  He was very sweet and gave Gabriel a high-five.

After breakfast we headed out into the snow for some playtime.  Everyone was excited about wearing their snowsuits.
But, once we got outside the excitement wore off for Lorelai as soon as she touched the snow.

No amount of hugs and reassurance could persuade her that this was fun.  But, I promised Gabriel a snowman and I would deliver despite Lorelai's tears.  So we tried to get her involved as much as she would.  Gabriel had a BLAST though!  :)  We learned about snow angels too.

Paisley even gave our snowman a belly button with her paw print.

Right before going in though Gabriel ran over and pushed his snowman down.  Then proceeded to cry because I wouldn't build a new one.  Sorry bud, but Lorelai had put up with being sad through one snowman.  Hopefully the snow won't be completely melted after nap time and we'll be able to go back out and try again.

Been a While

Sorry it's been so long.  We've just been doing normal everyday things and I don't think to bust out my camera.

We did have a couple of visitors last week.  Cherlyn came Monday - Thursday, and kept kicking me out of the house to go do things for myself.  ;)  Then Jeff and Cathy came Saturday.  A good time was had the whole week...although I was quite exhausted by the end.

Most days, as I said, we're just hanging out around the house...

Just Hanging Out

The kids were just hanging out and having a snack so I thought I'd snap a picture of them.  Lorelai is sporting her Aggie dress from her Granddad.  Good thing I put it on and didn't wait for spring because it wouldn't have fit!  She's almost outgrown it already, and she was not happy with me while I tried to pull it closed to fasten the buttons in the back.  lol  She's a growin' fast, and finally has her 7th tooth coming in.  YEA!!!

Gabriel is just all about comfort.  :)  He hates wearing jeans because they're not comfortable.  Oh, how I remember feeling that way as a kid, and now I wear them day in and day out.  I wonder if it's something specific about kid jeans that makes them not comfy.  But, whenever I put them on him he yells, "No this!  No this!"  Poor guy.

Happy 2012!

Yesterday afternoon we celebrated in style with a little New Years package I got at Target.  :)

First we just took some time on the swing set:

While the dogs rough-housed:
Then we busted out the celebratory items:

 Silly String

Poppers

Hats and party horns to toot:

The kids had a great time.  Then Gabriel went out and took a ride on his tricycle out front for the first time!  :)  I have video that I'll have to post later.  We wrapped up the evening with some yummy steaks, roasted asparagus, asiago fococcia bread, and strawberries.  :)

Wishing you a happy and healthy 2012!
