Seattle's Finest...
We took the redeye from Anchorage which left at 1 a.m. and arrived in Seattle at 6 a.m. We were quite exhausted to say the least. We tried to get into our hotel, but they were booked up and did not have our room ready for us that early in the morning. We were told to come back in a couple of hours. So, we went to this 24 hour diner...a man was drinking beer at 6:30 a.m. if that gives you any indication of what it was like. Then we headed over to "a" Starbucks (not "the" Starbucks) for some hot chocolate. I didn't want caffeine because we were still hoping to go to bed soon. Went back to the hotel...no luck...so we headed over to Pike's Place Market. We walked around and found "the" Starbucks...the ORIGINAL people!!! I definitely could have used a good coffee at this point too. So, we shopped until about 10:30 a.m. when we finally called the hotel and they told us our room was ready. There's something about getting a coffee at the original that beats getting it anywhere else.
So much yummy food and gorgeous flowers. We bought some cherry butter and pumpkin butter, some French pastries, and...
we couldn't leave without getting some treats for Grace!!! This chain is totally famous in the dog world, and if you aren't feeding your dog their products your doggy is missing out big time! (You can get their stuff at Target!) I read a book about this company a while back called "Amazing Gracie" and it is about the wonderful story of a special dog, her lucky owner, and how they together began Three Dog Bakery. Check it out!
