Our Beautiful 2.0 and Back Issues
Well, I went to the dr. today because I was suffering from some ridiculously painful back issues. We're talking sitting in the car almost made me vomit from the pain. (Just to paint the picture for you.) It struck while my Mother-in-Law was here. Thank goodness for her help!!! Luckily Brian got home that night from Vegas and he's been caring for Gabriel for the last 2 days while I rested in bed with ice and a heating pad.
Turns out the baby or uterus is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. And according to my dr. because it happened so early in my pregnancy (rather than later when the baby is larger) it's due to happen to me again most likely, and probably with more frequency. She said if it occurs again to call and they'll set me up with physical therapy. But, for the rest of my pregnancy I need to do hamstring stretches (she showed me some) and Prenatal Yoga 2 times a week. So, a DVD has been ordered and will be on the way soon.
But, with all of that nonsense the silver lining is I got to see my beautiful 2.0 on the ultrasound again. The little heart beating away at 160-170 beats per minute. :) Yay! The photo is at an awkward angle because the little one kept moving, but the labels are to the right of the thing they're labeling. The hand is up by the face (maybe another thumb sucker?!) so no, our baby does not look like Yoda or anything. ;) And I'm so tempted to type "she" with each sentence. But, we won't be finding that out until April. Maybe time for a boy or girl poll??? :)
