Birthday Bash

Friday we had Gabriel's 1 year pictures, and while picking up the smash cake I got him a few balloons as well. :)

This weekend Matt and family came over to visit and celebrate with us. It was so great seeing the Wood family. We haven't seen them since July! Little Barrett can talk up a storm now and Gabriel had so much fun following his cousin around the house.

We took the boys to the Sea Life Center. It was just the right size for the amount of energy they had remaining before much needed naps, and they really seemed to enjoy themselves.

He really didn't get the hang of opening gifts. He was more interested in ribbon and whatever cousin Barrett was up to. :)

The cake. It could have been better, but it will have to do considering I haven't decorated a cake in years and I didn't use buttercream icing this time. Lesson learned.

and decided he really doesn't like cake.

But, dissecting it with a drumstick is kinda fun.

I love the picture below! It kind of sums up what a great visit the boys had together.

A big thanks to Matt for taking a bunch of the pictures so Brian and I could really live the moment with him. I'm so glad I didn't have to experience it all through a camera lens, and you did a fantastic job.
