Gabriel's First Disney Trip...
Gabriel went on his very first Disney trip last week. The plane rides went very well. Gabriel is a wonderful "flyer." We met up with my parents and Matt, Angie, and Barrett. Gabriel didn't do well with us sleeping in the room so Brian and I ended up on the pull out couch downstairs, but as you can see the crib itself provided some entertainment when we went up for diaper changes.
We visited all of the parks with the exception of Animal Kingdom. Gabriel is just too little to be able to see the animals if they're not close up, and there weren't many rides that he and I could ride there. But, here we are getting ready to slide at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.
He wasn't a fan of sitting on the giant ant. But he was exhausted (as he was most days from early rising and cutting back to 1 nap a day) from lack of sleep and all of the fun.
He did like the big giraffe outside of Rainforest Cafe.
In Magic Kingdom we got on the train and rode around to Mickey's Toon Town. :) Here's Gabriel with his Grandma Wood.
Having fun in Minnie's house.
Gabriel was not impressed by the castle. Oh well...give it a few more years.
His favorite ride seemed to be It's a Small World. There was lots for him to point at and jabber about.
Riding with Daddy on Peter Pan. (Notice a theme with the thumb? I think this is going to be a hard habit to break. Just like it was for his mommy.)
He was soooo sleepy on the Jungle Cruise that he almost passed out and missed it all.
But, nothing gets Gabriel excited like his cousin Barrett. I don't think Barrett shares the enthusiasm.
The T-Rex restaurant was a big hit for Gabriel. He loved those dinosaurs. His favorites...the animatronic wooly mammoths and the triceratops (animatronic and the ones standing still). This is a can't miss restaurant for kids and adults alike.
See? Kisses for the baby triceratops.
And who wouldn't want to pick it's nose? I'm sure the triceratops has a hard time doing that with his stubby toes.
Leave it to my son to find the only stick in the entire restaurant.
Riding the Nemo ride.
Ummm...Dad? Do you see a problem with our location?
Also one of Gabriel's favorite activities on the trip...riding the bus like a big boy. :)
Leave it to Grandma to find a parade! :)
We had a lot of fun and are so glad we got to see Gabriel enjoy himself with his family and in Disney! It was exhausting, but definitely a great experience.
