Gabriel's 7th Birthday
I know most people wish for their kids to stay little. Don't get me wrong, I do miss cuddling them as little babies, seeing them laugh when they smear food around the tray of their high chair, that awkward toddler run...but I am so in love with where Gabriel is now. He has real hardened interests. We can talk the ins and outs in real detail of Star Wars, Legos, and nature. He's beginning to be fascinated by real historical events...the talk we had about the Titanic amazed me. He shouts out with excitement in the car when he can read a sign we drive by, and he LOVES math (probably the one thing I can't relate to). Everyday he becomes more and more well rounded as an individual, and every day I just love him that much more. This year was his first birthday party...with his classmates at the local bounce house, and the smile on his face was worth every bit of time and effort spent making it happen. I'm so proud to be his mom...the world is a better place with him in it.
It may have taken me well over a month to blog about his birthday, but that's just because I'm so busy enjoying being his mom.
