Thanksgiving 2016
We had a lovely time hosting family for Thanksgiving this year. There was lots of yummy food, football, and fun! Now it's full steam ahead to Christmas!
I tried my hand at taking our own family portrait for our Christmas card this year. Unfortunately, while the plan would have worked wonderfully had the sun cooperated, things did not go as planned and I had to try to work with super cloudy weather. There is more shadow than I would like, but it was neat to experiment with my camera's wifi feature to remote trigger the camera with my cell phone. It allowed me to see how everyone looked before taking the shot so that we had all eyes on the camera with great smiles. Next year I'll have to try to get ahead of the game and take this picture before the time change so we can be outside in the golden hour.
Thanksgiving 2014
My parents celebrated their first Thanksgiving at their new home in Dallas this year and invited everyone over to celebrate. It was a fun long weekend. So much fun apparently that I forgot to get out my camera and snap some pictures for the most part. Before we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa Wood's house we celebrated Thanksgiving at the kids' school with a feast. The kids all came dressed up...the Kindergarteners were Indians. Gabriel is very proud of his costume.
Luckily, while in Dallas, I managed to take a few pictures on the day we visited Matt and family. We hit up the local park. I love this picture of all of the kids following Matt...like little ducklings.

Gabriel was too fast for me and I didn't get any good pictures of him at the park. Luckily we have the fun Indian one. :)
