District Teacher of the Year!!!!
Tonight was the Brazosport ISD Fish Fry for all Brazosport ISD employees. This is where they announce the people with large numbers of years of service, retirees, and the school teachers of the year. All school districts choose an Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year from the previously chosen School Teacher of the Years.
I wrote about my mom and how she influenced me to become a teacher. It made me cry. Mom...see my necklace?! :) I wish you and dad could have been there, but I thought wearing my necklace was the next best thing.
See...my eyes are all watery.
This is Mr. Ripple, our Superintendent. He is great!!! He gave me a very heartfelt congratulations and said that he knew I was very deserving of the honor.
So, they call all of the Elementary TOY's up to the risers one by one and then they start to read one of essays from the winner. (We had to write 4 different essays for this!!!) And low and behold it was me!!! I am so excited and so honored that my school district thinks so much of me. For the most part it is a blur. But, I am just so excited! Now I am up for Region IV Teacher of the Year!!!
