Hank the Cowdog

Today we took the kids to the Oklahoma Children's Theatre to see their production of Hank the Cowdog.

Gabriel was very focused on the show and he was hard to read.  He said that he liked it and that "those people were silly in their costumes."  Lorelai watched but was mostly scared the entire show.  She says she liked it though.

I really love children's theatres.  They're a great introduction to theatre for little kids, in a small "in the round" style.  Everyone has a good seat.  We REALLY look forward to taking the kids back for another production.  At the end all of the cast heads out to the lobby so the kids can take pictures with them and get autographs.  While my kiddos weren't really up for that, one of the cast members did walk us out and thank us for coming.  LOVE people who are so great to kids!  We need more people like that.

While I didn't take pictures during the show for obvious reasons, I did take a couple of Gabriel waiting for the show.  (Lorelai was huddled up on my lap closing her eyes because she was scared.  lol  Poor thing.)

As a reward for the kid's good behavior at the show we took them out for frozen yogurt afterwards.

Lorelai and I had the following conversation:

Me:  Lorelai.  What was your favorite part of the play?
Lorelai:  The strawberries.  <They were on her frozen yogurt.  lol>
