Vintage Finds

The kids and I hit up an antique store looking for a couple of items that can double as furniture for their rooms and photo props when I need one.  The first find was this darling little table and chair set that I have put in my son's room:

I have ideas on how I can use this for our Christmas pictures.  And my guess is it's from like the 40's maybe.

Then in the same booth (it was an Antique Mall) I happened upon this 2-drawer coffee table:

Honestly...it seems too tall for a coffee table, but at the same time too short to be something else.  I was originally wanting a trunk or some sort of sweater chest for the foot of her bed, but when I saw this I was hooked.  I had planned on using the chest for storage for her dolls.  She has a TON!  But, when I saw this I knew I wanted it for her little doll house.  She's having a blast setting everything up.

Both were VERY reasonable priced and were marked as the final price.  But, I asked if they would call the vendor and see if they would reduce it because I was purchasing two large items.  They called, and while they said it sounded like it pained the dealer...she gave me 10% off of everything!!!  I was so pleased, and I didn't have to be pushy.  See!  It never hurts to ask.  And that lady made a loyal customer today.  I'll be sure to check out her booth again and again.
