Gabriel: First Haircut

We headed up to Snip-Its today.  It is a kid oriented hair "salon."  There are videos playing while the kiddo gets their haircut.  Animal Crackers.  Lollipops.  Toys.  You name it they have it to keep your kiddo happy and amused while getting their hair cut.

So here we have this morning.  Just shy of two years worth of growth:

 And let the trauma begin:  (We brought Corduroy, Gabriel's bear that he cuddles with at night and a lot of the day, to help with the emotional toll.)

 But, the hair stylist had BUBBLES!!!  :)  She also had a video playing for him and food for him to munch on if he wanted it.  But, bubbles did the trick.  He was thrilled.

 Okay...well, he may not look it here.  But, he was.  He was smiling up a storm.  He even liked the clippers.  He kept wanting to look at them and go, "Ooooohhh."  Like...wow those are neat!

 Look at him!  He's a big boy now!

 The curls are gone.  

I did get some curls to keep for his baby book.  And while it was sad to see them go I know I was ready, and I think he was too.  They kept curling into his ears and bugging him, and the bed head look was getting out of control.  I guess that won't be an issue anymore.  I do think his new cut matches his little personality though.  :)
